Dear New Hampshire Democrat,
Earlier today, Organizing for America and concerned Granite Staters delivered over 10,000 petitions to U.S. Senator Judd Gregg urging him to help fix our broken health care system. With over 140,000 people in New Hampshire uninsured, and thousands more struggling to pay for skyrocketing costs, we can no longer afford to wait for reform.
For years, Washington Republicans have stood in the way of real health insurance reform, and this time is no different. Just a few days ago, Senator Gregg showed his cards by announcing he would do whatever it takes to single handedly stop Democrats' efforts to pass a meaningful health care bill. This behavior is not surprising, as Judd Gregg has received hundreds of thousands in special interest contributions from big pharmaceutical companies and the insurance industry throughout his tenure in congress. That said, we must hold him accountable for his actions.
As the summer recess comes to a close, it is time for us to send a message to Judd Gregg. That is why I am asking you to join me in contacting the Senator's office immediately to urge him to support health insurance reform. Be it sending a letter, making a phone call, or going directly to one of his offices and speaking with staff, every little bit helps. With so much at stake, your voice of support is very critical during the final stages of this debate.

Ann McLane Kuster is a candidate for New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District open seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire, Annie has been a longtime community activist, author, attorney and advocate, focusing her career on increasing access to affordable health care and higher education for NH families.
Annie has been actively involved in a number of significant health and education policy issues, including the creation of the N.H. Medication Bridge Program to distribute free medication to low-income NH families and the N.H. UNIQUE College Savings Program to help families save for their children to attend college.
Annie co-authored with her mother, the late State Senator Susan McLane, a book entitled “The Last Dance: Facing Alzheimer’s with Love and Laughter” and has toured the state speaking about aging and Alzheimer’s.
Active in community service, Annie served on the Board of Trustees of the N.H. Charitable Foundation and N.H. Public Radio, as Chair of the Board and Chair of the Capital Campaign for both the Capitol Center for the Arts and Child and Family Services on NH. She was a Founder and Vice Chair of the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire and she served on the Board of the Tucker Foundation at Dartmouth College.
Annie served on the statewide steering committee for Barack Obama for President in 2007-2008 and as Co-Chair of NH Women for Obama and John Kerry for President in 2003-2004. She was a member of the 2004 N.H. Delegation to the Democratic Convention in Boston and was a 2008 Obama delegate in Denver. Annie received the Eleanor Roosevelt Award for dedicated service to the Democratic Party at the local, state and national level.
In addition, Annie is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and maintains a private adoption practice. She and her husband, Brad Kuster, an environmental lawyer, have two sons, Zach and Travis, who attend Dartmouth College.

MIlford Labor Day Event with Paul Hodes
Please join Congressman Paul Hodes by marching with him and dozens of supporters in the Milford Labor Day Parade next Monday, September 7th at 1:00pm.
Volunteers and supporters should arrive at Milford High School, located at 100 West Street, between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. for check-in.
The campaign will have signs and banners for the parade - but feel free to bring your own! We will also need help decorating vehicles before the parade, and a few volunteers to pass out stickers along the parade route.
